Good as Gone: A Novel of Suspense by Amy Gentry
My Rating: 1/5
Anna’s family will never be the same when her daughter, Julie, is abducted from their home in the night. 8 years later Julie collapses on their doorstep but all is not as it appears. If this really is Julie, where has she been?
A self-described novel of suspense, this pseudo-mystery is surprisingly slow. Narrated alternately by the mother and “Julie” I found neither of them compelling and the endless tales of abuse were shocking but unrooted in either the character or the story’s development.
