Missing, Presumed: Review

Missing, Presumed by Susie Steiner

Rating: 4/5

A British police procedural/mystery that begs comparison to the steady pace and relatable characters on BBC’s Broadchurch. Manon Bradshaw, Detective Sergeant, is tasked with the disappearance of graduate student Edith Hind. The Hinds are a well-connected, happy family that begins to crumble under investigation.

A story as much about DS Bradshaw negotiating the trajectory and complications of her life as about Edith’s disappearance. Well written and introducing a great character that author Susie Steiner will be bringing back in June 2017 with “Persons Unknown”.
